Meet Erin
Hello friend. I’m Erin.
Thank you for visiting my little space. I’m just a girl with a lifelong dream of making things and if I’m lucky, being able to share the things my hands have touched.
To be honest, it’s taken me a long time to get here. Like here, here, in this quiet tiny outpost of the internet, on this page with you.
if you haven’t noticed, here we are whimsical. Here we are seekers of light. Here we cast spells of hope, kindness, healing. Here we support each other, we laugh, we cry, we rage, we revolt and we live as joyfully as we can. We honor the soft life.
And oh let me tell you,
I’m a painter, collector of words, user of vintage bits and thingies, layerer, intuitive artist.
Sometimes my art is digital, sometimes tactile, sometimes both. I really love painting and drawing animals, hey maybe sometime you’ll let me paint yours!
Can I be honest, though? I’ve been through it. I suspect maybe you have, too.
My “through it” looks like decades of shame, eating disorder, isolation, depression, burnout, undiagnosed PCOS, chronic lack of confidence in what I’m capable of, and a few other things we can talk about in person. And yet.
If you know me (and you do a little already!) I’m tenaciously whimsical. I’m a curator of life’s quiet beauty, of wonder and joy. I wear my heart of my sleeve, I love deeply and I give with my whole self. I’m a curator of magic.
I’m also…happy. What a thing to say in this world.
I’ve spent the last 20+ years living advertising agency life. And between us, I plan to spend the next 20+ living my magical-artist-house-witch life.
I love animals (duh), blue-green (also duh), the sound of the banjo, waterfalls, lavender, the feeling of paint on my fingers, glitter on my face and the full bodied rush of everyday awe. Awe, right? In my experience, it’s the best defense against doom. Get a bit curious and awe is pretty quick to show up.
Maybe we can find a little awe together
My Animal Inspiration
Beetle, my black grizzly bear, smartest boy there ever was. He was my first dog, my best friend for 14 years. We had to say goodbye to him in 2023 – but this year he came back to me through art and I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen the last of him there. The Beetle.
My Boys
Smalls, Smallsie, the lil’ dude, Little Homie... Is the actual sweetest little short man dog. He may be made up of spare parts, but he came out perfect. He’s a treasure. He’s…not the smartest, but his tuft is magnificent and he’s a prolific snuggler. He also is very good at posing for the camera.
Spicy little Walnut who found me via the universal cat distribution system so that she could make her way to her amazing forever home. She’ll always live in a little corner of my heart.
Also, pigeons. What can I say? We didn’t exactly choose to be pigeon people, but they chose us and they are here to stay. They spend the mornings and afternoons here and the place feels empty without them.
